Look what Kate De Lacy has created for Day 22. Kate is a fashion illustrator, writer, blogger, journalist and art historian. Kate has a BA degree in art history and fine arts, her post graduate studies were in writing and journalism as well as fashion illustration and fashion design/pattern cutting. As a big fan of both Katie Price and Lamis Khamis, Kate selected some of her favourite items from the Day 22 collection and put them into beautiful one off watercolour pieces, just for us. Bring the catwalk into your home by creating some of Diors hot looks yourself. For the Dior couture show Pat McGrath freehanded what looked like masquerade-ball masks, piling on iridescent discs, gold sequins and amber rhinestones on the models’ eyebrows and upper and lower lids. Bedazzled makeup is going to be big for spring but also seems to fit right in at the moment, it’s another way for us girls to twinkle and shimmer right now.

The new Dior AW12 couture collection is so girly and fun. The runway show had loads of large geometric patchwork designs with floaty printed dresses in rainbow colours. Lots of pieces had crystal jewelled trims and strands of feathers and there were many multi layered skirts and fitted corsets accessorised with chunky jewellery and head pieces.
The collection is so vibrant and fun with all the candy colours, purples, greens and reds it remind us of a large sweetie shop. We want to wear every single piece from the collection. J'adore Dior!!!

Holy dip-dye Batgirl! What’s this we see before our eyes? Barbie!
Barbie has undergone her most extreme makeover so far! That’s right, the miniature lady has paid a visit or three to uber trendy East End salon Bleach to get a new look. In the past she has been dressed by a whole host of designers including: Prada, Burberry, Chanel, Roksanda Ilincic and Danielle Scutt. Now it’s Barbie’s hair that’s on everyone’s minds.
We love the fabulous hair and the new look that Bleach have given her.

Flicking through our magazine archive we found a copy of the edgy SKY magazine, which ran in the 90s and then become obsolete. In this issue you can see the gorgeous Johnny Depp gracing the front cover and an inside special of Madonna's collaboration with Jean Paul Gaultier. It features Gaultier's sketches of various outfits from the famous Blonde Ambition World Tour.

We blogged about our favourite duo who worked on our February look book and now we’re excited that they have opened their doors in a new location in the heart of West London. Hair stylist Michael Price known for his outstanding technique and skills from working with straight Asian hair to the curliest of locks, brings him at the top of the list from many A list cleints to art directors. Michael is joined by Natasha Devedlaka who has vast make up skills ranging from fashion editorial work to television.

Came across Spanish photographer and fine artist Eugenio Recuenco who blew our breathe away with the beauty of his work. Famous for his artistic backdrops by creating his own scenes giving his pictorial canvas a depth unlike any other. A mixture of Modern and Renaissance. His client list reads like a wish list of photographers worldwide working with clients such as Vogue, Yves Saint Laurent, Loewe, John Galliano, Sony Music, Vanity Fair, Swarovski, Jean Paul Gaultier, Diesel, Nina Ricci, GQ to name a few.

First Day 22 Shoot – Behind the Scenes

We got to work with our favourite and most talented individuals in the fashion industry for our first Day 22 shoot. Make up artist Natasha Devedlaka who has worked with some of the most renown fashion magazines and celebrities put her touch to the shoot, alongside hair stylist Michael Price who created the hair style we required, bit rock, edgy but fun. Both Natasha and Michael are from DPHM Studio.

Styling by Arsida Smajli.

The beautiful model was Kimberley Marren who was bursting with energy on the day got us the results we wanted.

Day 22 First Glance at Pure

The first showing of Day 22 was at Pure in Earls Court London. We showed the collection to some of the UK’s best independent boutiques and department stores, who all gave it big thumbs up.

Pictures of our stand using antique finds and finishes to give it a Day 22 look. Delicious cupcakes were supplied by Ella’s Bakehouse in Covent Garden.

We like to point out raw and emerging talent. When we saw the works of Arisda Smajli a fashion graduate from Ravensbourne College we were amazed by her forward thinking womenswear designs. It was recognized by Italian Vogue and was featured in their ‘Emerging Designers Magazine’ also in the colour spreads of uber cool Volt magazine.

Is it art or fashion? We let you be the judge of that. Arsida contributed to the first collection of Day 22 with her colourful and modern illustrations: another one of her talents.

With over 500 brands showing at Pure this year, Day 22 was asked if they could show their collection at the Catwalk to give the audience a sneak peak of what Katie Price and Lamis Khamis have been working on over the past 8 months.

Katie Price attended the first day to take the runway with a crowd of over 600 people. Being a mixture of boutique owners, fashion journalists and press.

Very overwhelming but Katie did a great job.
